1) Handling of lifts
The Hirer to supply competent banksmen and any other labour needed to assist the Owner's Operator.
2) Handling of plant
It is understood that the crane is supplied to work within its permitted safe working capacity under the Hirer's Supervision.
3) Travelling to and from site
Notwithstanding any clause to the contrary in this contract.
1.Travelling time to and from site is chargeable at full hire rate.
2.Erection and dismantling of jibs – all time spent is chargeable at full hire rate.
3.Transport of Ballast – the transport of additional Ballast to and from the site chargeable at extra cost.
4) Slings
The hirer should supply suitable slings. The Owners crane carries a standard selection of slings although no responsibility is accepted for loss or delay if these are found to be unsuitable for the purpose required.
The Owner does not accept responsibility for the correct use of the slings or for the method of slinging.
5) Consequential Damage
No responsibility is accepted for damage to property beneath the wheels of the vehicle or to any overhead obstructions.
6) Site conditions
It is the Hirer's responsibility for the adequacy of the ground, mats (or timbers) to support the crane under its wheels and out riggers, the cost of the recovery of the vehicle becoming bogged on the site is chargeable to the hirer.
7) Delay
No responsibility is accepted by the Owner for the losses to the Hirers or third parties due to mechanical failures of the Owners machine, or for any other reason, whatsoever.
8) Hire Charges
The hire charges shall be paid in full by the Hirer in the event of the lift being wrongly described by the Hirer and being beyond the safe Working Capacity of the Owner's machine.
